How is the daily rental charged?
Daily rental fees are charged on a 24-hour basis. For example, if a vehicle is collected at 09:00 on Monday, it is due for return by 09:00 on Tuesday. A grace period of up to two hours may be allowed; returns beyond this period may incur an additional day’s charge.
What are the driver requirements?
To qualify as a driver, the following requirements must be met:
- The renter must agree to and sign the Rental Agreement, including all terms and conditions.
- Provision of full personal details, including name, physical address, telephone number, and email address.
- Submission of valid local contact details.
- A valid, unendorsed driver’s licence that has been held for a minimum of two years and includes a photo ID.
- For non-residents, a valid passport and identification document are required.
- Copy of next of kin national identification
- Full hiring fee
- Full security fee (Refundable)
- Driver minimum age of 25 years and maximum of 60 years.
How are traffic fines managed?
If a traffic violation is incurred during the rental period and issued to Royal Ride, the fine will be transferred to the renter upon receipt. An administration fee will be charged for processing the fine, and the total amount will be deducted from the renter’s security deposit.
What is your fuel policy
Our fuel policy is based on a like-for-like basis. If a vehicle is released with a specific fuel level, such as a half tank with an estimated range of 400 km, it must be returned with the same fuel level. Any shortfall may result in a refuelling charge.
What should I do if I get in an accident?
- Report the incident to the police immediately.
- Obtain the contact details of all other parties involved.
- Contact our customer care desk as soon as possible.
- Do not enter into any private or on-the-spot settlement. Doing so will invalidate the insurance cover, and you will be held fully liable for all costs.
- The security deposit will be forfeited, and you may be required to settle any excess or damages not covered by insurance.
